I want to be able to access my internet on my wireless computer but whenever i enable the WEP/WPA encryption i cant figure out how to input that key so i can reach the internet.
I use windows vista.I have another computer hooked up to the router by a hardwired so i know exactly what the key is.

when you find your wireless connection on the list of available networks hit the connect button and it will ask you for the security key. type it in.
hey just login to ur router…open ur internet exploere..and type 192.168.1.1 or may be 192.168.0.1 this is mainly the default router address of every router…if it is not then check the box of ur router or the book…and then after entering this..it will ask u for the username and password..
enter the username – admin ( or check ur book)
password is – password( check ur book)
and then go into wireless settings and then go to security…thee u can see the WEP encryption selected…and the key u can see just below the wep…note down the key…
and enter it when it asks u…u will get login to ur internet…gud luck and hppy new year
if the ssid of your network is visible in the “connect to” screen right click and go to properties/preferences. you should see security there.
if not:
go to “Connect to”
click “set up a connection manually”
select wireless network
enter the name of the network and security type, then enter the key.
